Fulham vs Arsenal, Saturday 20 April 10:00PM LIVE @ Modesto's at Elizabeth
I am back again as Kevin is recuperating from a second back operation. Please send him your best wishes, thoughts and prayers! Too soon for strippers though OK?
We finally climbed back to 3rd in the table with 5 games left to play. The win over Norwich City on Saturday was well deserved but unfortunately we could only draw against Everton last night. The referee as usual was pretty crap and the Toffees thought they were the Potters.
Both Sp*rs and Chelski have games in hand on us but have on paper, more difficult opponents than we do in the last lap, so it's going to be a very close fight to the finish. Do come down to Modesto's Elizabeth to watch the final few games with us and cheer on the Gunners. And please drop your inhibitions and sing along, don't be a typical uptight Singaporean!!!
This Sat at 10pm, Fulham hosts The Arsenal and the match will be live at The Liz, however there will be no signups or renewals as both the Treasurer and Vice-Treasurer are out of town. Signups and renewals however will start 2 hours before the ManU game the following week to make up for this.
As I wrote last week, we now have some preliminary details on the trip to Jakarta in July to watch Arsenal play the Indonesian national team. The match is on Sun 14 July at 830pm.
If you only need to get the match ticket from us, it will be approximately $40 for members. And for a 3D/2N tour with us, inclusive of airfare, transfers to/from hotel, daily breakfast and match ticket on a twin sharing basis will be approximately $610 per member. As we are making a tentative booking for 50 tickets, this will be on a first come, first served basis. So please email me jy(at)arsenalsingapore(dot)com if you are interested in either the tour or ticket only option. Final pricing is subject to change as details are still being worked out and may be higher or lower than stated.
COME ON ARSENAL!!
Best wishes,
Jin Yan

Hello Fellow Gooners!
I'm very happy to report that Kevin has had a successful operation on his #brokeback and is recovering well and bugging the nurses (... for bedpans)!!
We had another good result over the weekend, beating The Baggies 2-1 away, and with the scum drawing against Everton, we are now 2 points behind them with a game in hand. This song was sung after the match by Gooners at The Hawthorns!

As mentioned last week, renewals and signups for 2013/2014 have begun, so come down this Sat before the Norwich City match kicks off at 10pm. The renewal premium is a toiletries bag which will be available soon.

WBA vs Arsenal, Sat 6 April 2013 11:00PM, LIVE @ Modesto's at Elizabeth
Hello Fellow Singapore Gooners,
Kevin is feeling a little brokeback (literally) this week so he asked me to write this.
This Saturday sees Arsenal traveling to The Hawthorns to play West Bromwich Albion (kickoff at 10pm). mio TV is again coming to The Liz to film us and interview Singapore Gooners! (It's not because we are top of the League so it must be because we are by far the GREATEST supporters club Singapore has ever seen!)
We are also beginning the signups and renewals for the 2013/2014 season so come early please. We have an awesome looking Arsenal Singapore toiletries kit for you as a renewal premium (however that will only be available later this month.)
We want and need nothing less than 3 points from this, so COME ON ARSENAL!!
Best wishes,
Jin Yan
Arsenal vs Reading, Sat 30 March 2013 11:00PM LIVE @ Modesto's at Elizabeth
Hello Singapore Gooners,
It seems a lifetime away since the last Arsenal game. The good news is that the international games are over and we have proper football again this weekend!
Big up to all the Singapore Gooners who took part or got involved in some way in last Saturday's Be a Gunner, Be a Runner (BAGBAR) event. It was a successful event and everyone had a great time, while raising some funds for the Arsenal Foundation. If you missed the action or want to relive it, here are all the shots that were captured. Arsenal Singapore even got a mention on the main Arsenal website!
To the runners, we are still sorting out the tops. We have received some but the lot is not complete. Please bear with us with we get the missing tees from the club.
Arsenal vs Reading
The Gunners host Reading for this league fixture. If we want to get the 4th spot or even the 3rd, we MUST win this game. With only 9 games left, there is simply no room for errors. Come on you Gunners!
The game will be screened LIVE at Modestos' Elizabeth this Saturday, 30 Mar 2013. KO is at 11pm. Give you one reason to come down? Because you are a passionate Gooner who want to scream "GOOOOOOAAAL!" and hug other Arsenal fans whom you have never seen in your life.
And then you go home with a huge smile on your face...
Arsenal Singapore Football Team
This Saturday, the lads play their last game of this season. They are facing East of Anfield. To secure the 2nd spot, they must get the 3 points and hope sp*rs SG and Chelsea SG have a classic lasagne episode.
Well, it has happened before...
So please come down and support the lads this Saturday at Queensway Secondary School. KO is at 3pm.
That's it for this week. See you guys loud and proud at the Liz...
COYG,
Kevin
Arsenal Singapore Newsletter 8 March 2013
Hello Singapore Gooners,
How is everyone doing? It has got to be good because the weekend is almost here...
No football for us this weekend though. Bad for us but good for the lads as they recharge ahead of their next game - 2nd leg Champions League game against Bayern Munich (14 Mar @ 3.45am).
Can we hope for a miracle?
The game will not be shown live at the Liz. We may find a place and watch the game together. If it happens, we will share the venue information on our Arsenal Singapore FB page and twitter feed (@arsenalsg).
Be a Gunner, Be a Runner
The exco has met and are sorting out the logistics of the BAGBAR. We have a total of 32 runners signed up, making it an impressive $960 raised. As the club will match dollar for dollar on the amount raised, we will be donating a total of $1,920 to the Arsenal Foundation.
Here's the email reply from Chris, who is a representative of the BAGBAR event:
"... fantastic that you have so many fans signed up. Thank you so much for your incredibly generous donation."
Arsenal Singapore Football Team
Last week's result: Arsenal Singapore 5 - 5 U4U (Manchester United Singapore)
Was it an exciting game? You bet it was! You Gooners would be proud to know that the Arsenal Singapore lads came back from 1-5 down at pne point! You can imagine which team was celebrating and which team had their faces in their hands at the final whistle.
Well done, lads! You never let your head down and practically came back from the dead!
"You'll never beat the Arsenal!"
That's it for this week.
When you open the next newsletter, it could be a sad one or an ecstatic read. It took the local lads 25 mins to come back from a 4-goal deficit over the local league champions. The Gunners have 90 mins to overcome a 2-goal deficit over the German champions. Can they do it?
Miracles do happen...
COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!
Kevin
