Hello Fellow Gooners,
Eric’s busy/away so I’m baaaccckkkkkkkkkk! Run for your lives MUAHAHAHA!
So Wengalf’s army defeated the orcs last Sunday night but at a cost, Matty Debuggins was sorely injured by Marko the orc which was not detected by Jon Moss The Incompetent. It was a thrilling victory nevertheless, with Sancholas scoring 2 and Laurin Koshield popping one in, which left Croucho Longarms flailing about as he usually does.
We’re now 4 points from overtaking 3rd place Southampton and another victory this weekend against Citeh would be just what we need! The match kicks off at midnight on Sun 18 Jan (early Mon morning) and great news!! Both Molly Roffey’s Bras Basah AND Dorsett will open for this match. So do come down to either location and cheer on The Gunners. Remember, the same discounts for members are available at Dorsett and as it is less crowded there, you should be able to get a seat (they have 3 TV screens and also a pool table as well as a darts machine to keep you entertained before kickoff!) Call them to reserve a table at 6444 5313 (ONLY for Dorsett, no reservations at Bras Basah please).
Last night the exco held our monthly meeting and have confirmed some events for the rest of this season which we will be sharing with you in due course. But the most important bit of info we can share now is for you to clear your calendars for this season’s Be A Gunner, Be A Runner (BAGBAR) event which will be on Sat 11 April. We are trying to hold it at a very special venue and most likely in the afternoon so that those of you working on Sat mornings can also attend. Remember Gooners, this event is for the Arsenal Foundation charity and EVERY cent of your signup fee is donated to them with a top up from Arsenal Singapore Club so please be generous and take part!! We have usually had around 40 taking part in each of the past 2 seasons, but for this season let’s get at least 60 to 80 runners!!
That’s it for this week! COME ON ARSENAL!!!
