Greetings my fellow Gooners,
I hope you are feeling better by the time you receive this newsletter. I guess the less said about our Monaco game the better. It was just a horrible feeling of déjà vu and the sensation that we are somehow stuck in this Champions League round of 16 Groundhog Day. I was informed quite quickly that the chance of us progressing through to the next round is 1.5% based on statistics and history. My response to that was at least we still have a chance. It’s slim and looking improbable right now, but still a chance.
As supporters, we experience the highs and the lows with the team and the only thing all of us can do is look forward to the next match.
Thankfully, the next one is this Sunday night in the league when we welcome Everton to the Emirates. We have decent form in the league and there’s no time for anyone to feel sorry as the competition for a top 4 spot is really heating up.
Both Molly Roffey’s Bras Basah and Dorsett are open for our 10pm kickoff.
Sign-ups for Arsenal Singapore’s very own Be A Gunner, Be A Runner on 11 April will continue this Sunday from 8pm to 9.30pm at Bras Basah so do head on down to secure your spot for our maiden run at our very own National Stadium.
For the first time, we will also be having a lucky draw for all runners on the day with some fantastic Arsenal merchandise from Puma up for grabs. So wait no further and round up your Gooner friends and families to run for a good cause, with 100% of all fees collected going to the Arsenal Foundation.
Lastly, we need to have an indication of interest from our members in coming to catch our FA Cup match against Man United early Tuesday 10 March morning before we make the request for Molly Roffey’s to stay open for it.
Ultimately it has to make sense for them in terms of numbers so do drop me a note separately by this weekend only if you are likely to come. We will then make a decision by the middle of next week.
Stay positive and COYG!
