Dear Singapore Gooners,
TGIF!
How many of you woke up to catch Arsenal’s quest for Champions League glory? I did and boy, that certainly didn’t go down well.
There were 6 changes to the squad from the one that beat the Orcs last Sat. Despite the highly-disputed sending off of Oli G, erratic refereeing and most of the lads not turning up in Zagreb, there’s still plenty of time and action for The Arsenal to turn this around! So get behind your team. We can do this!
Oh yes, have you checked out the latest decoration of the wall spaces with Arsenal memorabilia at Molly Bras Basah yet? The Arsenalisation is now 70% complete so go check it out. We aim to complete this sometime in October. Tell us what you think of it!
In other news, our annual Arsenal Singapore Futsal Tournament is right around the corner. Save this date in your calendar: Saturday 21st November. It’s also the start of the school holidays so we hope to see you there. More info on venue/event details will be revealed in the coming weeks. Look out for it! Go dust off your shoes now.
For all you fitness enthusiasts out there, PUMA is organising their annual PUMA Night Run on 17th October 2015, 7.30pm. Start/finish point is Marina Barrage. PUMA has very kindly offered 15 slots to our Arsenal SG members to participate in the run meaning you don’t have to pay any race fees!
To grab this chance, all you have to do is to email Eric at eric@arsenalsingapore.com with your full name and membership number no later than 3pm this Sunday.
If you make the list of 15 members, you will be receiving an email back from Eric with details of the event. Fastest fingers first!
The main action this weekend is not a top-of-the-table clash, mind you. It’s The Arsenal who has the 2nd best defensive record (but 4th in the league) against the team with the worst defensive record in the Premiership (17th in the league).
It’s very easy to say it is a mis-match! Maureenho will be up to his usual mind games and trying to ruffle the gaffer up. Will we see another fist-fight on the touchline between the managers? Or should there be more action on the pitch from Team Red v Team Blue? Our boys will want to prove our critics wrong and bounce right back from our mid-week blues.
Kick-off is on Sat 19th Sep, 7.45pm at Molly Roffey’s Bras Basah and Dorsett outlets. Get there early and have your dinner at the pub. Membership renewals & sign-ups this Saturday will be from 5.45pm-7.15pm and again after the match at 9.30pm-10pm at Bras Basah outlet only. We have 1 more week to go for deadline of renewals.
One Team in London. London is Red. COYG!!!
