Arsenal Singapore Newsletter 23rd September 2015

Dear Singapore Gooners,

So what did we learn from that Russian roulette/roubles fiasco over the weekend? Simple. Cheaters NEVER prosper! A certain “D.C.” got what he deserved in the end. No thanks to that man in black “M.D.” Over 78,000 Gooners worldwide petitioned on the Change.org movement. Have you done it yet? It’s never too late even though Gabriel is back!

I was and still am fuming mad at this whole epsiode. But nothing could better sum it up than this quote by a certain Blues player. “We’re not surprised because we know Di*go. Everyone knows Di*go and the guy likes to cheat and put opponents out of the game”. When your own team-mate says such beautiful words, what else is there for us Gooners to say? *ownself whack ownself* Justice has been served! #IStandWithGabriel

So go ahead now and drink your Costa Coffee without any hesitation (I don’t drink coffee and am not boosting their sales) if you need your daily intake. Maureenho will be in for a ride this season thanks to his antics, trust me. Eva has already left the club!

How many of you Gooners fancy a game of futsal? The annual Arsenal Singapore Futsal Tournament will take place on Sat 21 Nov at Kovan Sports Centre. Each team can register max 7 players with a Manager in-charge of the team. Registration fee for each team is only $40. Max 14 teams only are allowed to participate in the tournament. Dateline to register is 7 Nov 2015. Start forming your teams now and I will send you the link for the registration forms in my next email. The forms will also include the tournament rules.

Ticket application for December’s Sunderland and Man City games are now open. Grab your chance to head to London and see The Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. Send your email to Umarani at tickets@arsenalsingapore.com

The Arsenal is facing 3 matches in the next 7 days. Already feels like crunch time, no? Tonight’s Capital One Cup game against Sp*ds will be shown live on ELEVEN, Singtel Channel 109 at 2.45am. Which team will Le Boss put out? Ospina/Cech, Mertesacker/Gabriel, youth/exerience? Stay up and catch the action!

The Arsenal will travel away to Leicester this weekend. The wily foxes led by the Silverfox himself (Claudio Ranieri) are one spot above us, boasting the best offense and are the only unbeaten team in the league. Can our lads be the first team to finally beat them this season? I suppose it won’t be easy but why not? Match kicks off on Saturday 26 Sep, 10pm at Molly Roffey’s Bras Basah and Dorsett outlets.

Next Wednesday 30th Sep at 2.45am, Champions League action resumes with a home match against Olympiacos. The boys will be up for this huge game to get our journey to Euro glory back on track. Can you stay up to cheer your team on? Yes, you can! Sleep can wait.

Take note that this is the last weekend to renew your membership this season. Gooners, you had 6 months to renew them and get your hands on the very exclusive Arsenal SG yellow away scarf.  Last chance to do it from 8pm to 9.30pm this Saturday only at Molly Bras Basah. New sign-ups will continue till end Nov.

I’ll see you there! Sing loud and proud. North London is Red!

Victory Through Harmony,

Dhanesh
