Arsenal Singapore Newsletter 30th September 2015

extraDear Singapore Gooners,

I have a confession to make. I didn’t stay up to catch our Greek tragedy that unfolded upon us early this morning. I had an early morning flight to catch and upon learning the results before take-off, I decided to start writing my thoughts at 36,000 feet in the air. Turbulence ahead.

We started September with a bang and ended with a whimper.
Played 6, Won 3, Lost 3. Wake me up when September ends!

At least we ended Leicester’s unbeaten run. There can only be One Invincibles, The Arsenal! Good news is that Alexis-Walcott strikeforce is really kicking in now and goals are flowing. Defence needs some more bite eh? Happy (belated) Birthday Per. BFG turned 31 two days ago. Theo was just announced as our Player of the Month for September. Is he our new Anelka? He sulks less, thankfully.

As I announced last week, the annual Arsenal Singapore Futsal Tournament will take place on Sat 21 Nov at Kovan Sports Centre. Each team will register max 7 players with a Manager in-charge of the team. Registration fee for each team is only $40. Max 14 teams only are allowed to participate in the tournament.

Dateline to register is 7 Nov 2015. You can email Shai at shai@arsenalsingapore.com if you need further clarifications.

Ticket application for Man City and Bournematch matches in December will close on 12  and 19 Oct respectively. Head to London during the school holidays for a festive visit to The Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. Email Umarani at tickets@arsenalsingapore.com

On this Super Sunday, Manure visits London. We are only 3 points away from the top.  Simple as that. Is there a bigger motivation needed?  How did they get to be top? I have no idea. They have a mean defence but our strikers will be pushing them all the way. Kick-off is on Sunday 4th Oct, 11pm at Molly Roffey’s Bras Basah and Dorsett outlets.

Renewal season ended last week but new sign-ups for Arsenal SG membership will continue till end Nov. You can do so from 9.30pm to 10.30pm this Sunday at Bras Basah outlet only. Then we will take a 2-week international break and resume on 18th Oct (Watford game).

I know the lads will be up for it this Sunday. Will you be there? COYG!!!

Victory Through Harmony,

Dhanesh
