Week In Review
It was a perfect week for the Gunners! Victory over Everton allowed us to go Top of the Table! And we’re still (joint) top! So despite losing our first league match back in August, we are doing well 10 games into the season. The team spirit is strong and the players are gelling well to grind out the results needed. Next two months will be a good gauge for The Arsenal with non-stop Champions League and BPL matches lined up.
This Wednesday’s morning “friendly” kickabout with the Owls of Sheffield obviously didn’t go down the way we would have liked to. Naturally everyone’s concerned with the injuries to Ox and Theo. Let’s hope they don’t have to stay on the medic’s table for too long.
Arsenal Singapore Futsal Tournament
For those members who have not submitted the Player Registration form to participate, please remember to do before 31st Oct (this Saturday!). This is also our deadline to book the venue. Currently only 3 teams have submitted forms. If we do not have enough teams by 31st Oct, we may not be able to proceed with this event. So round up all your footy kakis and submit da thing. Arsenal Match Tickets
Are you sick of Chelski yet? If not, go catch Arsenal v Chelsea at Emirates Stadium in Jan 2016. Application deadline for tickets is 14th Nov. Send your applications to Umarani at tickets@arsenalsingapore.com
Coming Soon
This Saturday, The Arsenal travel to Wales to meet Swansea City. The Swans’ defence has been leaking some goals so another opportunity for our attackers to beef up our goal difference. Match kicks off on Saturday 31 Oct, 11pm at Molly Roffey’s Bras Basah and Dorsett outlets.
Next Thursday 5th Nov at 3.45am, it’s Champions League action when the Gunners head to Germany for Oktoberfest! And while at it, finish off Bayern Munich to keep our dreams alive. We have done the job there in the past so it’s certainly not mission impossible. This match will not be shown at Molly Roffey’s.
Membership Sign-ups
For members who missed renewals, you can only sign up as a new member now and why not invite your Arsenal friends to join us. If you haven’t already realised, membership has its privileges! You have 4 more matches to do so before we close shop on 29th Nov (Norwich game) for this season. Look for our Exco team this Saturday outside Molly Bras Basah strictly from 9.30pm to 10.30pm.
We are (joint) Top of the League, say We are (joint) Top of the League! COYG!!!
Victory Through Harmony,
