Dear Singapore Gooners,
Lunchtime News Edition!
For those receiving this newsletter for the first time, Welcome to Arsenal Singapore! This is your weekly update on all things associated with Arsenal and Singapore Gooners.
Now if you’re familiar with the song “Keeping the Dream Alive” by German pop/rock band Freiheit, perhaps these words will ring true after The Arsenal’s Dino-mite win this morning.
“The hopes we had were much too high
Way out of reach but we have to try
The game will never be over
Because we’re keeping the dream alive”
The Gunners are back in business! 5-star fabulous team performance, 3 goals scored and in 2 weeks time, it’s all to play for in Athens with 1 mission in mind. Just beat them Greeks!
Our EPL title track was abruptly halted last Saturday. Frustrating to say the least. And now Le Coq is out for 12 weeks and I know what you’re thinking… But we only have 1 Coq! It’s time for the other players to step up and fill that gap.
With a third of the season gone, Leicester is top of the League after 13 games! The wily foxes are enjoying a good run (for now) and I’d rather see them top than the other pretenders. Hey, they’ve scored the most goals so far too! Let’s see what happens after Christmas/January.
Arsenal Singapore Year End Party
This is the final call for our current 2015-16 members. Only for the first 100 members who RSVP to Alvin at firstname.lastname@example.org before 30th November. Our FREE annual rockin’ party is set for Sunday 13th Dec at 6pm at Molly Bras Basah outlet. Lots to eat, lots to play, lots of prizes to win!
Arsenal Match Tickets
For those heading to London to celebrate Chinese New Year or for a long weekend in February 2016, you may want to catch Arsenal v Leicester at The Emirates Stadium. Application deadline for tickets is 5th Dec. Send your applications to Umarani at email@example.com
This Is It! Sunday is the last chance for your friends/family/colleagues/best friend/significant other to sign-up as Arsenal Singapore members before we stop our membership drive for this season. Look for our Exco team this Sunday outside Molly Bras Basah strictly from 10.45pm to 11.45pm.
Finally, back to EPL action. We have 6 EPL matches in 5 weeks all the way to end Dec. Time to finish November on a high and Norwich is in our way this Sunday. It’s 4th vs 16th match-up. We have an extra day’s rest against The Canaries and re-energise the team. School holidays has started in Singapore too so come on down and support The Arsenal. The match is on Sunday 29 Nov, 12.15am (Monday morning) at Molly Roffey Bras Basah outlet only. Dorsett outlet will not be screening this match.
I’ll see you there. Sing loud and proud.
We Are The Arsenal!
