Arsenal Singapore Newsletter 13th December 2015

Good afternoon Singapore Gooners,

Another Lunchtime Edition!

“If you do not believe you can do it, then you have no chance at all” ~ Le Professor

WHAT A PERFORMANCE by the mighty Arsenal! We believed in ourselves and look what happened. What a way to score your first hat-trick for the club, Giroud! So highly impressive were Oli G, Campbell and Koscielny earlier this morning that The Arsenal has qualified for the knockout stages of Europe’s elite footy competition for the 16th Year in a Row! Mission Accomplished, against all odds.

We all witnessed how all 14 players worked effectively as a unit to get the job done. Everyone worked their socks off and we can smile again. Does your lunch taste better now? Go on, just order a dessert while you’re at it. The sweet taste of Victory!

And last Saturday, we kicked off December with a big bang 3-1 victory. So that makes it 5 goals in 2 games for the HFB (own goal counts too, right?.. hehe). 15 games down and another 23 more to go and Gooners everywhere are wishing, hoping and praying we can last the distance this time. We continue the warpath with Aston Villa this Sunday. On paper this may look like a mismatch but it’s up to us to secure the victory. Plus, former Gooner Remi Garde might do a Tim Sherwood (Remi is a Gooner, Remi is a Gooner!). Early kick-off is on Sunday 13 Dec, 9.30pm.

Arsenal Singapore 2015 Year End Party

This has to be the main highlight for Singapore Gooners this weekend. Everything’s all set for the Biggest Year End Party on Sunday. We are ready to rock the house down with a nice buffet spread, exciting games and fabulous prizes. We will play our favourite games, some new ones and some with an interesting twist! We have so many great prizes that almost everyone can walk away with something (if your stars, moon and sun are all aligned). Lots to play and lots to win!

Lastly, we will also have our annual tradition of the Arsenal Auction. Over the past years, you have always been generous to donate for a worthy cause. Once again, all proceeds from this year’s auction will go straight to Children’s Aid Society which manages the Melrose Home, our adopted charity for 2015. Melrose Home provides a supportive environment for children between the ages of 3 to 18 years old, a “home away from home” for children and teenagers who need care and protection in a residential setting. So please donate generously and bring your chequebook or cash.

Registration starts from 5pm onwards. Party commences at 6pm sharp. Buffet starts at 6.15pm. The Exco is all set to party with you.

Ho! Ho! Ho! COYG!!!

Victory Through Harmony,

Dhanesh
