Final match of the 2015/16 season… Squeaky bum time it is!
Did I or Did I not say last week there’s still a chance to clinch 2nd spot? With recent results, can we expect some luck in our favour on the final day of the season? It’s a pity we couldn’t finish off the Citizens and send Pellegrini packing. A win over them would definitely have made the “Sisters down the lane” sweat.
Arsenal Tour – Sydney 2017
This is a shout out to our members who are planning for next year. I understand it is still very early days yet but tickets will go on sale in July 2016 – Yes, this year!
The Arsenal will play 2 matches in Sydney – 13th & 15th July 2017.
We just want to know your interest level for now. The Exco team is planning to secure group bookings for match tickets and hotel accom in Sydney (early stages only, so relax!). We can sit near other overseas supporters’ clubs (similar to BAT 2015 in Singapore). We’re taking a quick poll to see how many members are keen for match tickets and hotel rooms. Email your choice to Umarani at umarani@arsenalsingapore.com by 31st May 2016.
Indicate the following:
1. Your name and membership number
2. No. of match tickets needed
3. No. of rooms needed (For now, we are in talks with a 4-star hotel in Downtown Sydney, AUD $125 NETT per night, twin sharing, standard room, inclusive of breakfast for 2 pax).
If you just want match tickets from Arsenal Singapore, that is fine with us. Hotel accom is really optional and you can choose to stay elsewhere if you like. Also for now, we will also leave flight tix open for members to book on their own. There are plenty of budget airline options for you to choose from.
Membership Renewal & New Sign-ups
Final week for renewals. Get your hands on the All-new Arsenal Singapore polo t-shirt. Look out for the Exco team outside Molly only from 8.30pm to 9.30pm on Sun 15th May.
Next season, Arsenal Singapore will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary of being an Official Arsenal Supporters’ Club (since 2007). So it will be an awesome season coming up. There will be events and activities planned exclusively for current members only. So what’s your excuse for not renewing your membership? 🙂
This coming Sunday, we play the relegated Villains with only their pride to play for. Plenty of stories this week about how it could be possibly be the last game for Rosicky, Arteta, and Flamini (and Theo?)! Well whatever it may be, if they play, let’s cheer for them and all that they’ve done for The Arsenal over the years. You can’t deny that they have all served well for the family. At one point or another, we have all sang their songs and cheered for them. It’s gonna be a festive atmosphere at The Emirates on the final day. Hoping to see all you Gooners in your scarfs and sing your hearts out! Come On You Gunners!
Let’s hope the entire team play their hearts out and finish on a season high!
