Hello Singapore Gooners,
Well the bubble finally burst this morning! We were undefeated since August and suffered our first away loss in the league since February. I only wished we rose up to the challenge especially since we could have been top of the table had we won today AND we were 1-0 up! We sorely missed Mustafi, didn’t we?
Fact: We lost all 3 matches when he didn’t play (including Southampton in EFL Cup).
Moving on, here’s your Arsenal Singapore update for this week.
1. 10th Anniversary Celebration
As of last Saturday, almost 100 members have signed up for our big event. Arsenal SG is turning 10 in 2017 and we will commemorate this milestone event on Saturday 25th March 2017 at Hotel Jen Tanglin.
Let’s all come together for a night of sumptuous food, glorious games and fabulous prizes. The Top prize is a return ticket to London, sponsored by Emirates.

2. “Welcome to Five” Party
For those members who attended ZoukOut last Saturday, you missed our Welcome Party where our members had a great time enjoying the delectable 8-course buffet from FIVE with free beer sponsored by Carlsberg. It seems like our members really liked the special menu created for us.
Members also took part in games, activities and quizzes and won fabulous prizes such as dining vouchers, Arsenal toiletries bags, scarves, caps and t-shirts.
Special thanks to Tuck Lee Ice for sponsoring the amazing Arsenal Singapore ice sculpture. Look at the picture attached.
3. FIVE Square
It’s gonna be a very late game this Sunday since kick-off is at midnight (Monday). Take note of the following:
- Five Square outlet will only open at 8pm on Sunday.
- Only the Tapas food stall will be open. Last order is half-time, 12.45am.
- If members wish to book a table, FIVE will accept reservations only via email: square@fivebar.sg
On Sunday night, we face Man City away. They have been struggling lately and we may need to tinker with our formation and starting XI. Possible to fit Oli-G, Alexis, Ozil, Ox for attack? Will Lucas play some part too? We need to be firing on all cylinders as the hectic Christmas schedule lies ahead.
