Good news and bad news to usher in 2017.
The bad news is the team was absolutely pathetic for the first 69 mins against Bournemouth this morning. Pissed poor performance!
The good news is The Scorpion King (Oli-G) decided to become Superman from the 70th minute and saved us yet again! Another good news is we are unbeaten in 2017 thus far. Hey it’s true, isn’t it? LOL.
I was in London to catch the past 2 games and it was good to end 2016 and kick-off 2017 with hard-earned victories over WBA and Crystal Palace respectively. The atmosphere at Emirates was fantastic and the crowd got behind the team when the going got tough.
It’s always nice to meet Singapore Gooners in London (some were on their honeymoon) and wanna say hello to Edward & family, Mark & partner, Peng Juay & partner, Yuxin, Steve and Suzanne. Top Gooners there!! Hope to see more Singapore Gooners making the trip to catch The Arsenal in action. There’s nothing quite like that feeling of watching a game at The Emirates!

1. 10th Anniversary Celebration
Early-bird pricing ends on Thursday 5th Jan. Yes, that’s tomorrow!
Members can head to FIVE Square on Thursday 5th January 2017. Look for Tony strictly from 7pm-8pm and make payment in Cash and submit the registration form.

We now have 145 members signed up for our big event on Saturday 25th March 2017 at Hotel Jen Tanglin. Our target is to secure 200 members for this Anniversary party. This will be our BIGGEST bash ever!!
Early-bird pricing: $60 for Arsenal SG members and $80 for non-members (immediate family only).
From 6th January 2017 onwards: $70 for Arsenal SG members and $90 for non-members.
The actual value is over $100 per person!
2. FIVE Square
Our FA Cup 2017 run starts this Saturday (Sunday morning). Take note of the following:
- Five Square will telecast this game.
- Food service is available and last order is half-time, 2.15AM
- If members wish to book a table, FIVE will accept reservations only via email: square@fivebar.sg
Finally this Sunday, our road to Wembley begins! Seeking our 13th FA Cup glory, we play away to Preston North End. From last night’s performance, I reckon Lucas, Ox and Gabriel deserve to start that game. Welbeck might play some part in it. Some players like Walcott and Coquelin may be out due to injury. But the romance of the FA Cup always gets fans excited.
