Hello Fellow Singapore Gooners,
I’m baacckkkk!! Many thanks to DJ for allowing himself to get arrowed bwahaha. He was actually missing not writing the newsletter so I gave him a chance to do it again! And from time to time this season I will get other members of the exco to write the newsletter so that you get to know them too!
I hope many of you were able to attend the various meet and greet sessions with the Arsenal Masters, especially the ones at Five Square, and also catch the Battle of the Masters match last Saturday. I don’t know about you but I was especially thrilled to meet Pires, Kanu, Gilberto, Lauren, Winterburn, Limpar, and Hillier!! #swoonz. Also, did you catch sight of, (or better still, were you under) our 10m x 10m Singapore Gooners banner at the National Stadium? I think we outshone the scouse supporters that night!! Hope the Arsenal Masters will be back again soon!!

“whaddya think of totnum??” Yup it’s that time in the season again, we play that lot from Middlesex at The Emirates. Hopefully this time they don’t destroy the toilets in the away section again, silly fools! We’ve not beaten them in the League in a few seasons, hopefully we can do it this time. By the way, Mike Dean is the referee … YIKES!!! Membership signups and collection of cards and polos from 7 to 8pm.
Arsenal Singapore Year End party Sat 16 Dec 7pm
Put the date down in your calendars folks! We’ll be having our fabulous year end party again. There will be another delish buffet dinner (no pork, no beef), with games, quizzes and prizes galore and an auction for a signed Arsenal shirt! (signed by the team lah, not by exco!) As usual the proceeds from the auction together with a matching amount from Arsenal Singapore (up to S$2k) will go to Children’s Aid Society. AND if everything works out we will also screen the recently released “89” documentary film about the famous 2-0 win over Liverpool to win the League in 1989. You really don’t want to miss this!! More details next week on how to sign up for this event.
