Phew, it was a close shave but our players “Owen Gol” and Aubamayang helped us secure the 3 points we needed to remain 5th and to give us our 17th undefeated in a row in all competitions. Can we get our 18th and 19th this week?
We play Vorskla away in the Europa League on Fri 30 Nov at 1:55am (Five Square will not be open for this game but it is live on Singtel and Starhub). We’ve already qualified for the knockout rounds and a win should guarantee us top of the group.
On Sun 2 Dec at 10:05pm it’s the NLD at Emirates and Five Square will definitely be open for this. Doors open at 8pm and you can collect your membership cards from 8:30 to 9:30pm. Mike Dean will ref the game so get your voodoo dolls of him ready and stick the pins in!
Reminder, our year end party is on Sat 8 Dec from 7:30pm to 9:30pm and the game that night is a home game vs Huddersfield Town at 11pm. We will have a buffet dinner (no pork, no beef and some vegetarian choices), plus a charity auction of a shirt signed by Unai Emery, kindly donated by Emirates, drawings made by AFC players at the July fan party and games, quizzes, and prizes galore so sign up for it ASAP. Last year we made it a free event and we had over 20% no shows which led to a lot of wasted food. In order to avoid a repeat, we are charging $10 per person and each member can bring one guest, so $10 for 1 person, $20 for 2. Signups are first come, first served, limited to 75 pax (about 12 spots left only). The whole amount collected will be donated to Children’s Aid Society, none of it will be kept by the club.
