Hello Singaporean Gooners,
It has been a rougher week after losing 3-1 to the Scouse at Anfield. Unfortunately, we were outdone by two lapses in concentration on either side of half-time. It was however, nice to see the team dig in and get on the scoresheet with Torreira’s late effort. Also, Pepe was the first person to dribble past Virgil in 50 matches. Here’s hoping that there’s more to come from our new 19.
Three announcements this week:
1. North London Derby
Our next match is home to Spurs at the Emirates this Sunday, 1 September at 11:30pm. Five Oriental will be open at 9:30pm prior to kick-off, so come down and watch us take the Spuds to see the Pope. For those keen, we will be selling Arsenal Singapore Merchandise during the match too.
2. Ian Wright Autographed Jersey Auction
Adidas Singapore has graciously provided us with a sign 19/20 Arsenal Home Jersey, signed by none other than second placed all-time highest Arsenal goalscorer, Ian Wright! This will be auctioned off in an upcoming match. All proceeds will go to Children’s Aid Society, Singapore.
Stay tuned to this newsletter for more details in the coming weeks.
3. Membership
Again, the club would also like to remind those who have not collected their membership cards from the 18/19 season to do so this week.
