Hello Singapore Gooners,

How’s everyone doing during this unusual period in Singapore? Can you still even remember those Arsenal songs we used to sing? Hang in there, Gooners.

Here’s your latest update for this week.

1. Our club President, Ian Lim, unfortunately has decided to step down and leave the Exco for personal reasons. We thank him for his contributions in the past 8 months. I will take over as interim President with immediate effect. During the next AGM in August, the club will vote for a new President.

2. As our members know, our adopted charity is Children’s Aid Society. During this challenging COVID-19 pandemic, they are facing a difficult financial year with donations on a significant decline. We hope to appeal to the generosity of our Arsenal Singapore community to donate if you can. The donations would greatly help them to tide through this trying period and signify support for their residents and families. With a donation of $10 & above, you’ll be entitled to a 250% tax deduction.

As this cause is very dear to my heart, I have already made my personal donation. Click on this link to help: https://bit.ly/cassolidarity

3. Finally, a huge thanks to the winner of our Jack Wilshere charity auction – Yisheng Ang. He donated $335 in total to Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore). You’re a Top Gooner, Yisheng! That’s him in the pic attached.

Please stay safe and wear your mask, Gooners! Talk to you again soon.
