Hello Singapore Gooners,
Looks like the third time was the charm for the team under Project Restart. We got our 1st win in 3 games this morning. That should put a smile on our faces for this weekend at least. Arteta will still need more time to tweak his gameplan but the players really need to step up too, there’s no denying that.
Let’s savour the 3 points as we slowly climb up the table. We have 7 more games and only 6 points away from 5th spot. And then we can say farewell to this “abnormal” 2019-20 season.
In other news, some of our members were featured on TV during the Brighton game. They responded to my email last week and their reward was their celebration shown to a worldwide audience on TV when Pepe scored (ignore the final result!). If you haven’t seen that snapshot, view it here: https://www.facebook.com/ArsenalSingapore/posts/3049690408401994
Arsenal Singapore online video gathering
Last Saturday, some of our other members had another unique experience when they “watched” the Brighton game together online via Zoom. Maybe you can recognise those familiar faces in the picture attached.
We even had prizes to give away for our contest. And our ONE and only winner was Umarani Jayapal. She correctly predicted 0-0 half time score and 3 total goals. She has won herself 2 prizes!!
This Sunday, we play Sheffield United for our Quarter-final FA Cup match at 8pm. To create a unique experience, Arsenal Singapore will host a private Zoom event gathering for our members. In case you miss the atmosphere of watching at the pub, now watch the game in the comfort of your own home and also watching with your fellow Singapore Gooners. Entry is FREE and we can only allow 100 members to log in.
(FYI, we will not telecast the game on Zoom due to TV rights).
Lance Lim, who is our club’s social media king, will be your Zoom host! You can also submit your half-time score, full-time score and total goals (based on full-time) in the “CHAT” box before the game starts.
The first 3 correct entries for each category will win an EXCLUSIVE prize from us. Please indicate your name and membership number together with your predictions on matchday.
This event is purely for our members only. You can log in from 7.30pm onwards. COYG!!!
That’s all for this week, folks! Wear your mask. Up The Arsenal!
