I’m not sure if you have been laughing or crying at our recent results… From the highs of beating Pool and Citeh to the low of losing to Aston Villa. It only shows how unpredictable the life of a Gooner can be! On our day, surely Arteta’s red & white army can beat almost any team in the world. Arteta has told the board to invest this summer and perhaps we may need to sell a few players to raise the capital. Who do you think will leave?
Here are your updates for this week.
1. Donation to Children’s Aid Society (CAS)
Two days ago, I paid a visit to the folks at CAS. Our club presented a cheque of $1,600 along with 62 drawstring bags for the kids. In addition, 20 Arsenal Singapore mugs were given to the hardworking staff of CAS. They are very appreciative of our kindness and thanked our members as well. The Singapore government will match dollar-for-dollar for all donations until 31st March 2021 so this means your impact of giving has now DOUBLED!
2. Zoom gathering for members
The EPL season will come to an end this Sunday. We play at home to Watford at 11pm. To create a unique experience, Arsenal Singapore will host a private Zoom event gathering for our members. In case you miss the atmosphere of watching at the pub, now watch the game in the comfort of your own home and also watching with your fellow Singapore Gooners. Entry is FREE and we can only allow 100 members to log in.
(FYI, we will not telecast the game on Zoom due to TV rights).
Your Zoom host is Lance Lim! You can submit your half-time score, full-time score, and total goals in the “CHAT” box before the game starts.
