Hello Singapore Gooners,
The longest and strangest league season in EPL history has ended. We finished 8th in the league…. Probably our worst performance since the 1994/95 season when we finished 12th (yes, it’s true so Google it… LOL). Have no fear, Arteta is here and the summer signings will come for sure. Next season will kick-off on 12th Sep 2020. Yes, only 6 weeks more to go.
Meanwhile, The Arsenal marches on to Wembley this weekend. Just a small matter of beating Chelski in the FA CUP FINAL. We are the 13-time winners of this historic competition and I’m convinced Arteta will kick everyone into shape.
Here are your updates for this week.
1. Arsenal Singapore membership renewal
We are planning to resume renewals and new sign-ups in September. We are dusting the spider webs to ensure everything will proceed smoothly. Remember, members can only renew/sign-up online. And we have an attractive and Goonerific gift … here’s a hint *”it’s in yellow”*.
2. Arsenal New Home Jersey promo
You would have received my email on this yesterday so just another reminder that from 30th July onwards, you can purchase the new jersey from Crown Sports (based at Peninsula Shopping Complex) at an exclusive member’s rate. And finally, The FA Cup Final. It’s a repeat of the 2017 final. Let’s hope the boys rise up to the challenge, win the Cup and get us back into Europe (and kick Sp*rs OUT of Europe!). That’s a double bonus!!!
Unfortunately, pubs and restaurants are not permitted to telecast any football games so means you have to watch it at home. Sad, but true! Remember, don’t gather in a group of more than 5 pax.
