Greetings Gooners!

It was a wonderful pre-Leeds v Arsenal match Zoom gathering last Sunday! 50 out of 301 registered members attended the event. The highest number of attendees thus far. It was great seeing the faces of the new and old members after quite a long while. I must say that the gathering was a success. The guest from the Arsenal was hugely impressed with how we coped with the Covid’s restrictions and continued to support the red and white. I am very sure that all the 50 members enjoyed the night, especially the lucky 20 who won fabulous prizes from the trivia. Prize collection will be arranged in due course and this will be shared to the winners.

And the match itself, what can I say. Arsenal was luckier than our 20 members. Despite playing with 10 men for most of the second half, the team managed to secure a point against a domineering Leeds side. I hope that it was just the ‘interlull syndrome’ suffered by the team and they really, really, really, really, really have to learn their lesson because the fixtures are heavy in the next few weeks. Arteta and his players have to bounce from this setback.

Arsenal travels to Molde FC for the Europa tie on 27 November 2020 at 1.55 am and then hosts Wolves on 30 November 2020 at 3.15 am. COYG and don’t lose hope!!

Yesterday, some of us attended the Legends Club event with Nigel Winterburn. There were Q&A sessions where he shared some perspectives about Arsenal this season. He acknowledged that the club is in a transforming process but still miles away from Liverpool and Man City. He was impressed with our current defensive component but agreed that the team lacks the creativity in midfield. We’ve got Ozil, Mesut Ozil…but he’s not in the squad. Well…..

The registration for the Arsenal Sg Virtual Run 2020 is still ongoing. At the moment, we only have 45 members registered for the event. We need more participants for this and the closing date is 4 December 2020, which is less than 2 weeks from now. The details are attached below.

For participants of the Fantasy League, please email your names, membership numbers and team names to lance@arsenalsingapore.com for verification.

Kindly refer to the previous newsletters on club’s promotion. Cheers!
