Hello Singapore Gooners!!
That was a fantastic win against Leeds last Monday and a nerve-wrecking second half, for me. After 90-minute, the score of 4-2 bodes well for Arsenal as Auba grabbed his first Premier League hat-trick for the club since joining in 2018.
The first half of the match was a perfect all-round play by Arsenal. The new loanee, MØ11, got his first start and he combined well with Xhaka, Ceballos, Smith Rowe and Saka. This was another new midfield set-up by Arteta, just when we thought Pepe was starting to settle-in. In fact, I prefer this midfield combination. Our attacks were very potent and after a very long time, we put in 3 goals in the first half. This game was a much-needed revival after 2 losses in a row.
By now, all would have realised that this season is full of uncertainties. The 2019/20 champion, Liverpool, had been humbled a few times and seemed like Man City is likely to be the new champion for this season. But there’s more games to play and nothing can be cast in stone. Arsenal has 14 games left to play and the team just have to play their best and hope to climb to the TOP 6! #COYG
Either that, Arteta could do what he did during last season’s FA Cup – by inspiring the players to win the Europa League as it is the only tournament left for Arsenal to automatically qualify for European competition next season, in the event the team did not do well in the Premiership.
It will not be an easy Europa cup tie for Arsenal with Benfica, as the club hosts them on Friday, 26 February 2021 at 1.55 am. It will be harder for the Gunners when Jesus is their coach.
After that, Arsenal hosts Man City on Monday, 29 February 2021 at 12.30 am. City is on top of their game at the moment and guess what, they have Jesus too!
