I am having a bit of an Arsenal hangover. A bit weird with no Arsenal match to watch. Maybe the Euro 2021, which will commence in 6 days’ time, would help. I’ll be rooting for Belgium, only because Thierry Henry is the assistant coach. Singapore lost 4-0 to Palestine this morning. Mr Eric Ong, who is the Lion’s manager and also our member, must be feeling proud of how the team has progressed, performance-wise. There were so many passes from the Singapore players. This was something new for me but there was no ‘bite’ upfront. With more games, the Lions will get better.
There are many rumours, talks, gossips, whispers, etc, etc about who is leaving and joining Arsenal. I’m hoping for a revamp/overhaul of the team, with some balance of the young players and the experienced ones. Players like Xhaka, Bellerin, Kolasinac, Guendozi, Toreira and Will.i.an have to go. Willock, Maitland-Niles, Saliba must remain. Leno, hmmm… but if Arteta wants to replace him with Onana, that’s a big risk to take with his doping ban. But I love any player with Nana in his name. It is good for Arsenal songs isn’t it. Are we going to see Raheem Sterling in Emirates? Let’s see how these transfers pan out for Arsenal in the next few weeks.
