For me, I am more excited for the 2021/2022 Premier League!! Arsenal has one another friendly to go, against Spurs, on 8 August 2021 before we kick-off to a brand-new season with Brentford for an early Saturday morning game on 14 August 2021. Hopefully, Arteta has prepared the team well. Is he looking to buy another player after securing three new signings, Sambi 23, Tavares 20 and White 4?

It is never enough for new players to join the club but I also felt that the current depth of the squad is sufficient to mount a top-4 challenge. What we need now is an able deputy for Leno and we are ready for the battle. First time in a long time, there are no European games for Arsenal. We have to get used to it. There’ll be ample time for the team to focus on the domestic front and do well in it. 

I am pleased to report that more than half of our members have renewed for the new season and took up the $20 renewal offer. And we have new sign-ups as well. What about the rest who have not renewed? You don’t like the club any more or maybe the President #sob Just kidding! The renewal offer will end in October 2021.

The Exco is working harder to provide a different experience for the members in light of this Covid-19 pandemic. We can only run virtual events for now, till the restrictions are relaxed. For sure, we will have the virtual run and the Fantasy League competition.

At the moment, we have partnered with Weston Corp and acquired huge discounts on jerseys. It is one of the best deals thus far. However, the take up rate is low and this may have an impact in future. We will look out for more partnerships in future to benefit the members.

And the club will be celebrating another milestone, its 15^th anniversary, in 2022. The Club’s AGM is slated this month. Exciting season for all of us.
