The first draw of the season and the result was not so Bright-on a wet, rainy game. The opponent took advantage of the weather and their home ground, to gain 59% of the possession, 21 shots at goal versus 8 of us. Luckily their finishing was overall shabby. Ramsdale had to make a very good save towards the end, to prevent Maupay from scoring the winning goal.
So much difference in the team’s performance, in comparison to the Spurs game. The host was very determined to win the game. In the end, a disappointment for the Seagulls not to get the 3-point and for Arsenal, a deserved 1-point. I mean we did put up a great defence to prevent them from scoring. Importantly, we did not lose and such momentum should not be shattered easily.
Two weeks of international break now and I hope that the Arsenal players don’t get injured. Next game will be against one of the invincibles, Patrick Viera. I wonder what it will be like for him to manage a team against Arsenal.
