Greeting Gooners,

I’m sure that you have seen our display (or at least the highlights) of the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Liverpool. The red card for Xhaka at an early stage forced Arteta’s hand with his in-game management. The boys defended really well against the relentless Red’s attack. Saka got our only promising chance but his mistimed swing ended up off-target.

It was a remarkable result, getting a draw at Anfield. And on Friday morning, 21 January 2021 at 3.45 a.m., we host the Reds at the Emirates for the second leg. A win against them and we make the final. The only cup final within our grasp. Having had the NLD postponed, it’s unlikely that we’ll get another postponement.

We host Burnley at home in the following league fixture on Sunday, 23 January 2022 at 10.00 p.m. Submit your predictions for the Burnley game to janeil@arsenalsingapore.com.

We bid farewell to our Bosnian tank. Sead Kolasinac has left the club after his contract was terminated by mutual consent to join Matteo Guendouzi in Marseille. We wish him all the best.

Arsenal Sg membership card design competition

To celebrate our Club’s 15-year anniversary, we would like for members to design the membership card for the 2022/2023 season. The format of the card is the same as the current one. We are looking for a design that commemorates our 15 years of existence. We have done the bruised banana, blackcurrant, etc. What’s next!! Perhaps something with our time at the Elizabeth Hotel and Molly Roffey’s in mind?

There are three cash prizes to be won, $100, $50 and $30, for the top 3 submissions. You can submit multiple designs but there will only be one prize for each member.
