What a narrow win against Wolves last Friday, with our only goal scored by Gabriel. Unfortunately, Arsenal were forced to play without the other Gabriel (Martinelli) towards the last quarter of the game, after being mysteriously shown two yellow cards in quick succession.
Here’s some information that was shared to me by a fellow Gooner, This was taken from the FA website:
ADVANTAGE – allows play to continue when an offence occurs, and the non-offending team will benefit from the advantage and penalises the offence if the anticipated advantage does not ensue at that time or within a few seconds.
So, could someone explain why Martinelli was sent off? These English referees don’t even know how to apply the rules that they are paid to know. Jeez!! How are they professionals, I wonder.
Anyway, we owe Wolves despite their moaning and having lost to us, as they beat Spurs soundly last weekend. The Arsenal are currently on 39 points, with 3 games in hand. If we win all 3, 4th spot is ours and we might be in for a fight for the 3rd spot. Of course, we’d have to play our A game to catch up. Being long suffering Gooners, we know the Arsenal always like a challenge and make things difficult for themselves. Hopefully, we end the season in the top-4 and qualify for Europe next season.
Next, we host Brentford and the match is on 19 February 2022 at 11 pm. They beat us in the opening game, can we take revenge this time round?

Arsenal Sg membership card design competition
In conjunction with our Club’s 15-year anniversary, we would like for members to design the membership card for the 2022/2023 season. The format of the card is the same as the current one. We are looking at the design of the background to commemorate our 15 years of existence. We have done the bruised banana, blackcurrant, etc. What’s next!!
There are three cash prizes to be won, $100, $50 and $30, for the top 3 submissions. You may submit several designs but it is limited to only one prize for each member.
We have received several submissions and hope to get more from the members.
Submit your designs by 28 February 2022 to dhanesh@arsenalsingapore.com and shai@arsenalsingapore.com.
