Our member Yew Kay shares his visit to The Arsenal to watch the team take on Leicester and his match day experience with us
The match started with both teams quite evenly matched in the 1st 10 minutes. After this, Arsenal started to impose themself with waves of attacking till end of the 1st half. Arsenal could easily be leading by 4 nil by 1st half if not for the missed chance of hitting the post and few 1 on 1 situations saved by the Leicester goalkeeper. Arsenal ended the 1st half leading 2 nil from both goals by Gabriel Jesus.
2nd half started just like the 1st half evenly matched. Leicester pull back through an own goal by Saliba before Saka’s goal restored the 2 goal lead. But Leicester scored again to reduce the deficit and then Martinelli again restored back the 2 goal lead in the next minute with a precise shot.
I singled out Jesus and Martinelli to be the outstanding players in this match, particularly Martenelli who was not afraid to take on rival defenders and also chased and pressured rival players into losing procession.
