Greetings Gooners!

A short one this time because it felt like I’ve had a long week, dealing with work, personal and Arsenal Sg matters. And a draw and another loss in the Premier League this week for the Arsenal, just added to that mental and emotional strain. All of us know what happened in those two games.

We remained at the bottom 5 after the matches against Southampton and Everton. There are three more matches to play, which I am not so optimistic about, before the year ends. I have a feeling that 2021 will be a better year for all of us and the Arsenal, with the opening of phase 3 on 28 December 2020 and when the transfer window opens on 2 January 2021. Let’s all pray that things will get better!

Arsenal hosts Man City on Wednesday, 23 December 2020 at 4 a.m. for the EFL Cup and Chelsea on Sunday, 27 December 2020 at 1.30 a.m. Following that Arsenal plays away to Brighton on Wednesday, 30 December 2020 at 2 a.m. COYG!!

For the winners of our past events, i.e., the Arsene Wenger launch, Pre-Leeds game zoom gathering and the Virtual Run, you can collect the items between 28 December 2020 and 24 January 2021 at Crown Sports, Peninsula Shopping Centre #02-05. Arsenal Singapore Newsletter, 16 December 2020

newsletter_header2017

Greetings Gooners!

This newsletter seems like a repeat of the previous weeks, given the fact that Arsenal have been consistently losing in the premier league but unbeaten in the group stage of the Europa League.

The Arsenal remained at the top of the group after beating Dundalk 2-4 and will be playing against a stronger opponent, Benfica in the next round of the Europa tie. On the other hand, the team remained at 15th position after a home loss of 0-1 against Burnley. I really cannot grasp their current form at the moment. This must have been a worst situation for Arteta and it is so clear that changes have to be made, to the team, tactics, planning, etc. But it’s not up to us isn’t it! #sigh

Tomorrow, 17 December 2020, Arsenal hosts Southampton at 2 am for a Premier League match. It is expected for the home side to win the game. The tables have now turned and Arsenal is no longer superior. I think Walcott might seek to destroy Arsenal. Following that, Arsenal travels to Goodison Park to play Everton on Sunday, 20 December 2020 at 1.30 am. And what might Iwobi do against us!!

Last Saturday, about 60 members took part in the Arsenal Sg Virtual Run 2020They took the challenge, pushed themselves, braved the rain for some and completed the 5 km. it was all for good fun and good health. There will be a private zoom session for the participants on this Saturday, 19 December 2020 at 10.30 pm, pre-Everton match. One of them will win a signed, framed-print of Aubameyang.

Till next time.. COYG!!

Arsenal Singapore Newsletter, 9 December 2020

Hei Gooners!

These past few weeks have been tough for me writing the newsletters. What is happening with Arsenal?

While the team performed very well in the Europa by beating Rapid Vienna 4-1, we lost another league game against Spurs. When Arsenal was down 2-0 at the first half, I decided not watching the remaining half and prayed that when I woke up, I would get a big surprise. Bis surprise it was, another loss and 15th position in the table. We were so good playing against Liverpool last season and with the same crop of players we have, the performances have somehow taken a massive dip. As fans, we can only hope for the best for Arteta and his players and support them in these sad moments.

This week, Arsenal play away against Dundalk for the Europa tie on 11 December 2020 at 1.55 am and then host Burnley on 14 December 2020 at 3.15 am. Both fixtures appear to be easy, but I think Burnley gonna give Arteta a run for his money. COYG!!!

To exciting news, we have about 60 members participating in the Arsenal Sg Virtual Run 2020 this Saturday, 12 December 2020. One of them will win a beautiful, signed, framed-print of Aubameyang.

New sign-ups and membership renewals will cease on 15 December 2020. To those that have been receiving the newsletters, this will be the final one and I wish to thank you for being part of the Club last season.

And for the prize winners of our past events, arrangements will be made for the collection in due course. This will be done after the virtual run event.
