Super Böb Fauzi shares his visit to The Arsenal with his partner, and their match day experiences with us.
Date: 15th December 2019
Match: The Arsenal vs Manchester City
Score: 0 – 3
Dark and cold times at the Arsenal.
In late November, our head coach left Arsenal after a long string of horrible performance. In all honesty, I am really nervous thinking about the match we are about to catch, against the champions of last season, Manchester Sh*tty.
Heading to Ashburton Grove the week after Unai’s departure, we booked ourselves a Legends’ Stadium tour, catching up with Perry Grooves. Funny chap he is. The tour was awesome as expected, the sight of the pitch from the director’s box, simply breath-taking.
We concluded the Stadium Tour with a trip to the museum, (checking out tons of silverware and they ARE NOT cutlery) and of course, major shopping at The Armoury! Thing is, we are just in time for the launch of the retro Adidas Bruised Banana kit!
On match day, the atmosphere was buzzing. The scent of fresh grilled burgers filled the spaces between Arsenal Tube Station & Emirates Stadium. I am excited to see Freddie Ljungberg, our interim Head Coach in action.
Though the match did not end in our favour, there were a lot of positive takeaways. Having to see Freddie Ljungberg (favourite player 1998-2007) from a far is simply unreal. #fangirlmoment
Thank you Arsenal Singapore for the opportunity to catch our football heroes, in the flesh!
