Good day Gooners!
So, we’ve won a trophy. If you tuned into the friendly against Monaco this morning, you would’ve watched the boys lift the Emirates Cup, the match ended 1-1 at full time followed by us winning the penalty shootout to lift the cup. The match followed the news that Gabriel Jesus will miss the first few weeks of the season due to a minor knee procedure. The one thing that seems constant with us is our luck with injuries. But this time round, I’m quietly confident that we’ve a big enough squad to cope with options like Eddie, who scored the goal this morning, Trossard, Balogun or even Havertz.
Arsenal vs Man City Charity Shield Sunday 6 August 11pm NOT SHOWN at WTF Indochine
The traditional curtain raiser sees us face Man City at Wembley this Sunday. Do note, this game will NOT be shown live at Indochine. You get the feeling that this is the game where the lads will step up the intensity, it’ll be our final ‘friendly’ before the league starts and it should be a cracker. It’ll be interesting to see what starting 11 the Don goes with on Sunday. Let’s hope for goals and yet another Charity Shield win for us.
Arsenal Singapore Annual General Meeting 12 August
We will be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 12 August, just before our first league game of the season! There’ll be a buffet for our members so do come down early, soak in the pre-match atmosphere, check out what the club has been up to during the AGM and get ready to cheer on the Gunners!
