Our member Samson Ee shares his visit to The Arsenal to watch the team take on Wolves at the end of the 2022/2033 season

First of all I am very thankful for Arsenal SG Supporters club to grant me this precious and memorable opportunity to catch the Gunners live in PL action against Wolves. This was only my 2nd time catching a game at the Emirates stadium (my 1st one was slightly more than 6 years ago)

The matchday atmosphere was buzzing and bustling since the Arsenal 23/24 home kit was released just two days before and the Armoury was extremely packed! I gleefully basked in the atmosphere around and in the stadium.

The 1st match I watched ended in victory. The 2nd match I watched just about a month earlier had the same ending, but this was a more emphatic one. The young Gunners thrashed Wolves 5-0, on a day when Xhaka scored a quick first-half double possibly for the last time. I was also glad to see Saka, Jesus and even Kiwior get on the scoresheet as the home crowd started the celebrations with more than 10 minutes left.

When Mikel Arteta and Martin Ødegaard came on the pitch after the final whistle to thank the fans, I was reminded once more how the team had improved so much from the season before. While it is a pity that the team lost steam near the tail end of the title race, I am elated that we actually managed to challenge Man City and now our team is back in the UEFA Champions League after so long. I missed this tournament so badly. Fellow Gunners would feel the same too.

I have high hopes for this team next season. We go again come this August and gun for our first league title in two decades. Once a Gunner, always a Gunner. Till I die. COYG!!!
