Our member Tan Shi Lin shares his visit to The Arsenal to watch the team take on PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Champions League and Tottenham Hotspurs in the Premier League in September 2023.

Firstly, I would like to thank Arsenal FC Singapore Supporters Club for giving me the opportunity to fulfil my dream which was to watch Arsenal play live not just once but twice so thank you so much Arsenal FC Singapore Supporters Club.

Actually I wanted to watch the Man United game, but I did some research that there might be a chance I would be able to attend two games in the week we played Spurs but it all depends on the luck of the draw from the UCL Group Stage Draw, and luckily the first UCL game was home so I was really ecstatic and not only that, the PL game I chose to watch live manage to get a chance for a VIP experience so I was indeed really lucky.

The Matchday atmosphere was amazing singing my favourite line which is stuck in my head North London Forever. With luck again on my side, the day before the Spurs game the authentic home kit was released so I manage to snag it up.

The first game was against PSV in our first Champions League game back in the Emirates Stadium after 6 years, it was unfortunately raining cats and dogs but nonetheless the 6 years of wait for this moment was indeed worth it hearing the UCL Anthem and winning 4-0.

The second game unfortunately we didn’t win but nonetheless this is a long season so we will take it one game at a time and hopefully beat Shitspurs in their toilet stadium. 

Aside from the match, I had a memorable time going for the Arsenal Stadium tour and also visiting the Arsenal Museum being able to see the dressing room and standing near the pitch side was a memorable as I had always dream of walking through the stadium like the players. Also meeting members of the Arsenal FC Singapore Supporters Club near the media entrance and having dinner with them made me realise what a wonderful family we have.
