Our member Roland See shares his visit to The Arsenal to watch the team take on Tottenham Hotspurs in September 2023.

It has been a long time coming since deciding to make a trip to the Emirates to watch a match. And when the opportunity arrived to attend the North London derby, no way i’m missing the chance.

A trip to the Armoury and a stadium tour a day before the game provided plenty of time to slowly choose what to buy and to take in the marvelous sights of the stadium without the pressure and adrenaline of matchday. Shoutout to the Chip Inn Fish Bar for selling absolutely awesome fish and chips.

Matchday was a crazy affair, right from outside the stadium where the fans are already in great voice. Having the chance to greet and see the players at the entrance was unforgettable.

The fans were singing in the concourse and left my ears ringing before kickoff.  Kickoff came and the atmosphere in the stadium was absolutely rocking, from the rendition of The Angel to the roar when the goals went in. Unfortunately we couldn’t send those lots home with 0 points but from an experience level, this is one of the best highlights of my memory.

Thanks to Arsenal Singapore for making the arrangements and hopefully i’d get the chance to experience a win in the Emirates soon!
