Our member Elvin Ho shares his visit to The Arsenal to watch the team take on Manchester City in October 2023.

Before the match, a customary trip to the old Highbury East Stand to reminisce the days when I first started as a Gooner back in mid-1990s.

This place really brought back many good memories.

Next on was the walk to The Emirates Stadium which was ablaze with excitement as football fans from both sides gathered to witness the high-octane clash between Arsenal and Manchester City. The stage was set for a thrilling encounter between two Premier League giants. The atmosphere was electric, with both sets of supporters roaring with anticipation.

The match was a true spectacle of football. Both teams displayed exceptional skill, and the contest was intense from start to finish. It was a rollercoaster of emotions for fans from both sides, with brilliant goals, near misses, and breathtaking saves.

The euphoria in the ground when the ball went in from Martinelli’s strike can’t be described with words.

It still gives me goosebumps when recalling the scene and whenever I watch some of the videos I took during the match.

It was truly an experience that one will never forget.

Lastly, I am grateful to be given the chance to watch the match live and I wish to thank the team at Arsenal Singapore for it.
