Our member Kacie Yap shares his visit to The Arsenal to watch the team take on Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. in December 2023.

“We like to thank Arsenal Singapore for the tickets to the home match against Brighton on 17 December 2023. Thank you for allowing us to fulfil our dream of watching the home game live in Emirates Stadium.

As a Gunner fan for the past two decades, it has always been one of my bucket list to-do to attend a home match watching our favourite Gooners play! We are immensely grateful for being able to accomplish it!

It was an exciting match as we were seated among the local home fans which we could only otherwise fantasise through the television back in Singapore. We also sang the chants and songs which we had practised before travelling to the Mecca – Emirates Stadium. Being able to sing it with pride and honour among the home spectacles, made the songs come alive with the soul and spirit of being a Gunner.

The two nil win against Brighton just made our trip even sweeter! We cheered and rejoiced together with the rest of the fans as we celebrated Gabriel Jesus first goal and Kai Hervertz second goal which sealed the game. Now we are top of the table as we chanted “Top of the League” proudly.

We went for the Emirate stadium self-guided tour the next day after the match and it was hugely insightful! We were reminded on the history and the formation process of the club as we get back to the root of our heritage in North London. We also experienced how it felt to be an Arsenal player as we walked through the media room, dressing room, tunnel, to finally the pitch where the magic happens.

It has been a very rewarding trip to the home of the Gunners, once again thank you so much to Arsenal Singapore for realising our dream!”
