Our member Brian Leong shares his visit to The Arsenal to watch the team take on West Ham in December 2023.

“I recently had the incredible opportunity to live out a lifelong dream by attending the Arsenal vs. West Ham United match at the Emirates Stadium. Huge shoutout to Arsenal (Singapore) Club for making it all possible.

The pre-game atmosphere was nothing short of electric, a true reflection of our past season and decent start to the season. The Emirates Stadium buzzed with anticipation, a sea of red and white jerseys creating a vibrant tapestry of support for The Arsenal. Singing  “North London Forever” right before kick-off was absolutely surreal – standing shoulder to shoulder with fellow fans, belting it out, gave me goosebumps. The unity among supporters, the shared passion for the club, created an atmosphere that transcended the stadium’s boundaries.

Despite the disappointment of not securing a victory due to our wastefulness in front of goal, the overall experience was nothing short of amazing for my family and I. The ups and downs of the match were part of the football rollercoaster, and being there in person to witness it made it all the more special.

I’m buzzing with gratitude and can’t wait for more live games ahead. This isn’t just football; it’s a way of life. Up the Gunners, and here’s to North London forever in our hearts
