Happy midweek Gooners!
Arsenal maintained that 1 win and 1 draw performance last week. This time against Monaco and a well-rested, bus-parker Everton. The valuable 3-point win, pushed the Gunners to third position in the Champion League, and places the team a favourable chance in advancing to the next stage of the competition. On the other hand, a disappointing and predictable display against the Toffees earned the team 1-point. With that Arsenal is also in third position, 6-point behind the league leader, Liverpool, who has a game in hand.
Arsenal’s topsy turvy performances are very apparent recently, based on the match results, especially against the lower-position team. It is frustrating because we know that the team can play so much better and deliver that win.
Arsenal plays home and away against Crystal Palace this week. The home match is a quarter final of the Carabao Cup and it is an opportunity for a silverware this season. We should be seeing a strong side to face the Eagles. The game is scheduled on Thursday, 19 Dec 2024 at 3.30 am. No live screening.
For the ‘return’, an away PL match, is on Sunday, 22 Dec 2024 at 1.30 am. No live screening.
These 2 games are going to be nail-biting and tense. Let’s hope that Mikel can turn this team around and get that win.
As a reminder, 25 Jan 2025 is our mid-season party. Do reserve the date. More details will be provided in time to come.
