Our member Alvin Phua shares his visit to The Arsenal to watch the team take on Everton and Crystal Palace in December 2024.
Thanks to the Arsenal Singapore Supports Club, I managed to get tickets for 2 games.
Arsenal vs Everton (14 December 2024)
The team didn’t play well. Probably due to fatigue after the mid week UCL game. The passes were not sharp enough. No cutting edge. Lots of possession by moving the ball across the field but can’t really go through the Everton parking lots…
It was a frustrating and cold afternoon. Not the result I hoped for but happy to be back at the Emirates Stadium
It was great to meet with fellow GS Gooners Sarah and Alice.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace (18 Dec 2024 Carabao Cup quarter final).
Missed the first 10 minutes of the game due to spending too much time in the Armoury Store and the bottleneck at the turnstile. Can’t really complain since I actually missed the early Palace’s goal. The team didn’t play well in the first half, very similar to the Everton game – no cutting edge and slow in transition. Luckily the half time substitutions were spot on. It completely changed the game and the team looked like scoring every time it went forward. Jesus scored a hat trick and it was enough despite a late goal by our old boy Nketiah to make the last few minutes a little nervy.
Overall, a good outing
Nice to meet fellow SG gooner Qunkai.
