Happy midweek Singapore Gooners and good morning!!!
The keyword from the previous week to me was ‘FRUSTRATE’.
I was frustrated, watching Arsenal play both matches against Newcastle and Man U. The outcomes of both games were indeed frustrating. The team lost the first leg of the EFL Cup at home and was ousted from the FA Cup. Such a frustration, especially the FA Cup loss wearing the all-white kit.
The white ensemble either makes Arsenal look like Real Madrid or Spurs and for three seasons in a row, we performed like the latter. AFC’s marketing/promotion team should cease the ‘No More Red’ campaign. This did not augur well for the Arsenal. It is akin to asking the Men in Black not to wear black. Arsenal is red and white, and removing the red has been proven to be disastrous. The team should consider rebranding to ‘No More Violence’ instead. Next season perhaps, if AFC learnt their lessons! Arsenal is now left with 3 competitions to play.
Two big matches in the PL this week and both are home games. 6 points are expected in that regard but with the recent form, Arsenal really, really need to play better and grind that result. Liverpool and Forest drew this morning and hope that Arsenal can capitalize this advantage.
First is the NLD on Thursday, 16 January 2025 at 4 am and then against Aston Villa on Sunday, 19 January 2025 at 1.30 am. No live screening for both matches.
Let’s continue to support the team despite the frustration and hopefully this week will be a joyful one for us. COYG!!
