Greetings Singapore Gooners!!
Last week is done and dusted. There was a lot of chatter happening everywhere on the PL games. Let me share a bit from my perspective and inject some positivity.
For a start, Arsenal did not lose last week. We beat Spurs 2-1 and accomplished a double against them this season. North London is red! And Spurs, after another loss, is slumped in 15th position. Mind the gap Cocks, it’s a huge 20-point gap! Ya Gunners Ya!
Two-nil and we @#%$ it up! Yup, Arsenal drew 2-2 with Villa. The team did not manage to get the winning goal in the end, despite the additional ball possessions. Last season, the Villains did a double against Arsenal. I was there at the Emirates when we lost 0-2. I know how that feels! That loss was one of the few that cost us the championship. This season though, we beat them away and drew at home. It was a good outcome for me.
Arsenal now lies in 2nd position, 6 points behind leaders Liverpool, who has a game in hand. With 16 more games to play, there is still hope for the team to do the impossible. The optimism is the main factor for all Gooners to continue in supporting the red and white in good times and bad spells. Else, you’ll be a Goner!
Two matches this week. The 7th Champions League game and this time, it is against the Croatian Dinamo Zagreb at the Emirates. The match is on Thursday, 23 January 2025 at 4 am. No live screening. Following that, is an away game in the premier league, against 17th placed Wolves. The game is on Saturday, 25 January 2025 at 11 pm. Live screening at BQ Bar.
Arsenal Singapore mid-season party
Before the Wolves game, we will be holding the mid-season party at BQ Bar. Doors are opened at 7.30 pm. There will be a sumptuous buffet, exciting games, and a lucky draw to win several items, such as framed images of Saka and Odegaard with digital signatures, Dennis Bergkamp notes, Invincibles coins, Weston vouchers, and many Arsenals’ merchandise.
