Greetings Singapore Gooners. And it’s another Tuesday newsletter.

Two wonderful wins from last week! First was beating Girona to a score of 1-2 in the final qualifying round of the CL. The win put Arsenal in third spot, in the 36-team table and an automatic qualification to the quarter finals. Juventus, Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven or AC Milan are the possible opponents. This will only be confirmed on 21 February 2025. I am thinking of the Dutch team.

Finally, and finally, Arsenal gets Man City to eat Humble Pie. Statistically, Arsenal was on a 4-match unbeaten streak against City prior to the game. The team continued that determination and beat Pep and his team to a remarkable score of 5-1. This humiliating loss is something that the City’s fans will never forget because we still remember the past losses against them. This win is evident that the tides have changed, highlighting Arsenal’s supremacy and its ambition to fight for the title. The performance from the team was impeccable. What a sweet victory lah, especially when we have several key players injured.

There is only 1 match this week and a very important one. Arsenal travels to St James Park for the second leg semi-final of the EFL Cup. Arsenal is down by 2 goals at the moment. The match is on Thursday, 6 February 2025 at 4 am. No live screening. Can the team overcome that deficit and go to the finals? Come on Arsenal!!

The transfer deadline has ended and Arsenal has officially signed Foo Kin Nowan. Hehehehehehe. Probably the board and the team know what’s best and rely on the current players to do whatever it takes to push Arsenal further in the competition.

That’s it for this week, it is either KO or OK for the EFL Cup final.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
