Greetings Gooners!

How many of you gained weight these past few days? Me, it was 2.5 kg from the consumption of Nasi Padang, Rice cakes, Bibimbap, Chicken Rice and Fried Rice, and it is all because of Declan Rice. Back to the gym!

Rice took the headlines after the magical, special and amazing game against Madrid at the Emirates. He scored a brace, both were enchanting free-kicks that probably got Beckham drooling. And of course, our Romeo Valentino’s sublime strike gave us a 3-goal advantage to bring to the Bernabeu. The second leg is scheduled on 17 April 2025 at 3.00 am. No live screening. Can Arsenal proceed further in their Champions League Campaign? Can they emulate Arsenal Women’s team to secure the semi-final with a 2-0 scoreline in Madrid? Will it be Rice or are we going to pay the price?

Our domestic results in the league contrast tremendously in terms of performance and outcome. Back-to-back draws, with the latest against Brentford, placed the Gunners in second place with 13-point behind Pool. And so, the Champions League remains the best chance for a trophy this season.

Arsenal travels to Portman Stadium to play Ipswich on Sunday, 20 April 2025 at 9.00 pm. Live screening at Molly’s. Let’s play for honour!

Look out for the latest updates via FB, Arsenal Singapore WhatsApp Channel and WhatsApp Chatgroup.

Arsenal in Singapore
From the fantastic win against Madrid, came the fabulous news that Arsenal will travel to Singapore to play Newcastle and AC Milan for the Festival of Football event in July, organized by Teg Sports. Bacary Sagna, representing Arsenal, was apparently present for a media-only event on 11 April 2025. But somehow fans from Newcastle and Milan got the news and were present but not Arsenal. This only meant that the exco got to work harder or our ‘friends’ are not looking out for us. Well, it is an opportunity missed for us Gooners!

In brief, the festival showcased the following matches for the Gunners:

1. 23 July 2025, Arsenal v AC Milan
2. 25 July 2025, Arsenal open training session
3. 27 July 2025, Arsenal v Newcastle

The information above is match-related only. Fan-related events have not been finalized. We will work with AFC in time to come. From our past experiences, there’ll be events which include welcoming the players at Changi Airport, jersey launch, fans party, etc. More details will be shared when available.

Arsenal v Spurs in Hong Kong, 31 July 2025

Now that Arsenal is coming to Singapore, will you still be keen to travel for the NLD in HK? There are 30 members who have indicated their interest. Please let me know if you have changed your mind. If you’re still interested in travelling to HK for the game, kindly email me. Others who are still considering, do let me know. It’s rare to watch a NLD outside of London. We need the numbers to consider organising a group tour.

That’s all for now. COYG!

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
