Good evening, fellow Gooners!

Key Updates from the Arsenal Singapore Supporters’ Club Annual General Meeting
We are delighted to share the highlights from our successful Annual General Meeting (AGM) held last Saturday. It was a tremendous pleasure to see nearly 100 members come together before the Forest match for a fantastic evening of camaraderie and a delicious buffet that rivaled a Malay wedding feast!

The meeting was an opportunity to reflect on a strong previous season and share our key updates and priorities for the year ahead.

A Snapshot of the 2024/25 Season & Beyond:
·       Membership: We are thrilled with the ongoing support of our community. From a strong base of 720 members, we already have 437 members secured for the 2025/26 season, comprising 290 renewals and 147 new sign-ups.

·       Ticketing: Our persistent efforts to secure match tickets are yielding positive results. We were allocated 108 tickets (a 20% increase from last season) for 28 home matches across all competitions. While demand inevitably outstrips supply, exemplified by the NLD where we had 19 applications for 4 tickets. We remain committed to advocate for our members.

·       Digital Presence: We continue to grow our reach, with a steady rise in followers on Facebook and Instagram. Our website maintains a strong international audience, with significant traffic from Singapore, the UK, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the US.

·       Community & Events: Last season was packed with memorable events, from our mid- and end-of-season parties to activities surrounding the Arsenal Tour and our charity golf event. We are particularly proud to have donated nearly $6,000 to the Children’s Aid Society (CAS) through your generous participation in our auctions.

·       Finance: Our financial accounts were audited and confirmed to be in good order. We are also proactively planning for our club’s future, having already set aside funds for our 20th-anniversary celebrations in March 2027.

None of these achievements would be possible without your incredible support. We are immensely grateful for your passion and are determined to make the coming season even better.

We are pleased to confirm that our Executive Committee (Exco) will remain unchanged this season. We would also like to extend a warm welcome to our new auditors, James Butler and Jeremy Han, and a huge thank you to Royston and Chin Hui for their two seasons of dedicated service.

Finally, we are looking to strengthen our Exco team and have an opening for an Assistant Treasurer. If you have an accounting background and a passion for our club, we would be very interested in hearing from you. Please get in touch with me directly.

Two matches this week. First game is the opener of the Champions League Matchday 1/8 against Athletic Club. It’s the first competitive match between both clubs. The home side has only lost 2 of the previous 10 home games against English sides. If Arsenal wins the game, they will become the first side in Europe competition to win 6 consecutive matches against Spanish sides. Who will prevail?

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
