Happy Monday and what a week to be an Arsenal fan!
A Night of Legends: Bayern Conquered at The Emirates!
A monumental round of kudos to every dedicated member who was wide awake in the wee hours of Thursday, November 27, 2025, witnessing history being made! In a spectacular UEFA Champions League Matchday 5 clash, Arsenal didn’t just win, they definitively broke the curse against Bayern Munich, a far superior opponent than Spurms. The Gunners put on a show, annihilating the unbeaten German giants with a resounding 3-1 victory at the Emirates!
The true depth and quality of this Arsenal squad were on full display. After Jurriën Timber’s opening goal was cancelled out, the match was deadlocked at 1-1 early in the second half. It took the electric impact of the substitutions to break the deadlock. Noni Madueke stepped up with a crucial 63rd-minute goal and Gabriel Martinelli sealed the deal in the 78th minute. This wasn’t just a win. It was a demonstration of a squad where every player is ready to perform. The team’s clinical finishing was evident, racking up 7 shots on target compared to Bayern’s mere 3. Their perfect run in the competition continues, making them the only remaining unbeaten team in the entire Champions League league phase, topping the table with a maximum 15 points from five games.
This triumph not only secures Arsenal’s spot at the summit but also sends a fierce statement across Europe.
Grit in the Grind: A Point at the Bridge
In a fiery London derby at Stamford Bridge, Arsenal displayed resilience to secure a 1-1 draw against 10-man Chelsea, maintaining a lead at the Premier League summit with 5-point advantage. The match was characterized by intense physicality and numerous disciplinary incidents, which saw Arsenal fight back after going a goal down despite Chelsea playing with ten men for over an hour.
Arsenal struggled to gain momentum in the early stages, with the defence missing both William Saliba and Gabriel. Chelsea improbably took the lead just after halftime when Trevoh Chalobah flicked a near-post header from Reece James’ corner into the far corner of the net.
Arsenal responded positively to the setback, introducing Martin Odegaard and Noni Madueke as substitutes. The equalizer arrived on the hour mark when Bukayo Saka made an assist and delivered a perfect cross for Mikel Merino to head home at close range. The Spanish midfielder scored his fifth headed goal of 2025, putting him tied for first in the Premier League in this category.
Gaffer Mikel Arteta said “It was a really proper London derby. Really intense. You could sense from the beginning that every duel, every action had something on it. We lacked certain details.” Well, we didn’t lose and that’s a good thing.
The march continues with two crucial Premier League tests in three days this week.

Arsenal then travels to Villa Park for what promises to be a challenging encounter against an in-form Aston Villa. This match pits Villa’s perfect home record against Arsenal’s impressive away form. With Arsenal having one day to recover after the Brentford match, fatigue management could be a factor against a Villa side that has been dominant at home.
With the title race heating up, these fixtures represent both an opportunity to extend our lead but also a potential pitfall against motivated opponents. Hope that Arsenal will prevail for these 2 matches. Let’s pack BQ Bar this Saturday night and roar the boys to victory at Villa Park!
