Our member and Ticketmaster Dhanesh shares his visit to The Arsenal to watch the team take on Manchester United and Kairat FC in January 2026.

It is always a privilege and thrill to head to London and especially North London to watch The Arsenal. AFC provided exclusive passes for the four Singapore Gooners to welcome the team as they arrived at the Emirates Stadium on the day of the ManU match (best passes that money can’t buy!) There we were, Gunnersaurus and almost 100 other Gooners cheering the team as they hopped off the team bus. 

Nervous as always before the match against ManU. Although we were playing at home, the “new manager curse” was lingering and the less said about the match and how the boys imploded the better.  Misery loves company so the four Singapore Gooners there clearly felt the pain.

Couple of days later I was back to catch the final home game against Kairat in the Champions League. It was a cooooold wet Wednesday night in North London but such nights are special and can never be taken for granted. Seeing Havertz and Gyokeres linking up and scoring so early in the game certainly almost made me forget about the previous match. Although the match was kinda non-consequential, a Win is a Win and 3 points to land us Top of the Champions League Table with a PERFECT 100% win record. Arteta FC All The Way!
