St Mary’s Stunner: Southampton 2-1 Arsenal
Football has a funny way of keeping us humble. After a season of such incredible highs, Sunday morning’s result at St Mary’s was a tough pill to swallow. We exited the FA Cup earlier than we’d hoped. It was a classic FA Cup “banana skin” moment that we unfortunately couldn’t navigate. Despite dominating large periods of possession, we were caught out by a resilient Southampton side that played like their lives depended on it. After falling behind to a Ross Stewart strike in the first half, the boys showed character to find an equalizer through Viktor Gyökeres in the 68th minute.

The momentum shifted painfully when Gabriel Magalhães was forced off with a knee injury. Losing our defensive anchor disrupted the rhythm, and the Saints capitalized with an 85th minute winner from Shea Charles.

It’s a disappointing exit, especially against second-tier opposition, but our eyes must now remain fixed on the two “Big Fish” still on the table: the Champions League and the Premier League title.

Sporting Lisbon v Arsenal (Champions League) – No Live Screening
Date: Wednesday, 8th April 2026, Kick-off: 3.00 AM
No live screening

We travel to Lisbon this week for a massive European night for 1st leg of the quarter final. Sporting have proven to be a tricky side in past encounters, and the Estádio José Alvalade will be a cauldron. We’ll need to see how Mikel rotates the squad following the Gabriel injury news. Securing a positive away result is what the team needs to do to remain competitive.

Arsenal v Bournemouth (Premier League) – Live Screening

Saturday’s early evening game at the Emirates brings us back for a crucial three points in the Premier League. With the title race razor-thin, there is absolutely zero margin for error against the Cherries. This is the perfect “bounce back” game to regain our momentum before the return leg against Sporting and the looming trip to the Etihad.
