Hope your Christmas was enjoyable amidst this COVID environment. In my last newsletter, Arsenal had played 3 matches, against Man City, Chelsea and Brighton. Let’s recap!
Arsenal lost to Man City and exited from the EFL Cup. Expected!
Arsenal did not lose to Chelsea. Omg!! What a surprise..
Arsenal did not lose again, against Brighton.. What a f#$*@& surprise!!!!
Yeah!! Arsenal is back to winning ways, and we have now won back to back victory to end 2020. Has Arteta found his mojo or the players found theirs? The last 2 games comprised of a team blended with the experience and the young players. Can this system work in the long run? Perhaps, but in my opinion, the team needs some beefing up, if the Club needs to claw back to the top 4 position.
Arsenal travels to the Hawthorns this weekend for the next EPL game against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday, 3 January 2021 at 4 am. There will be a lot of late games in the coming weeks. So, it’ll be early night sleep for everyone, for an early game to watch.
On behalf of Arsenal Sg Exco, we wish you a happy and healthy new year!!
A short one this time because it felt like I’ve had a long week, dealing with work, personal and Arsenal Sg matters. And a draw and another loss in the Premier League this week for the Arsenal, just added to that mental and emotional strain. All of us know what happened in those two games.
We remained at the bottom 5 after the matches against Southampton and Everton. There are three more matches to play, which I am not so optimistic about, before the year ends. I have a feeling that 2021 will be a better year for all of us and the Arsenal, with the opening of phase 3 on 28 December 2020 and when the transfer window opens on 2 January 2021. Let’s all pray that things will get better!

This newsletter seems like a repeat of the previous weeks, given the fact that Arsenal have been consistently losing in the premier league but unbeaten in the group stage of the Europa League.
The Arsenal remained at the top of the group after beating Dundalk 2-4 and will be playing against a stronger opponent, Benfica in the next round of the Europa tie. On the other hand, the team remained at 15th position after a home loss of 0-1 against Burnley. I really cannot grasp their current form at the moment. This must have been a worst situation for Arteta and it is so clear that changes have to be made, to the team, tactics, planning, etc. But it’s not up to us isn’t it! #sigh
Tomorrow, 17 December 2020, Arsenal hosts Southampton at 2 am for a Premier League match. It is expected for the home side to win the game. The tables have now turned and Arsenal is no longer superior. I think Walcott might seek to destroy Arsenal. Following that, Arsenal travels to Goodison Park to play Everton on Sunday, 20 December 2020 at 1.30 am. And what might Iwobi do against us!!
Last Saturday, about 60 members took part in the Arsenal Sg Virtual Run 2020. They took the challenge, pushed themselves, braved the rain for some and completed the 5 km. it was all for good fun and good health. There will be a private zoom session for the participants on this Saturday, 19 December 2020 at 10.30 pm, pre-Everton match. One of them will win a signed, framed-print of Aubameyang.
