Season’s Greetings my fellow Gooners!
As you go about enjoying your feasts and opening presents, I have some news to share with you.
On behalf of the club, I’m pleased to announce that we have nominated Children’s Aid Society to be the official beneficiary of Arsenal Singapore this season.
The society manages Melrose Home which provides a supportive environment for children between the ages of 4 to 18 years old who require care and protection in a residential setting. It is essentially a “home away from home” for children and teenagers whose parents or family members are unable to provide care or supervision for them. You can read more about them at http://www.childrensaidsociety.org.sg.
This Sunday at our year-end party, we’ll be raising funds for the society through an auction of some of our signed memorabilia. We’ll be paying them a visit in the New Year and will explore other opportunities for our club to do something with them so watch this space.
Speaking of this Sunday 28 Dec, registration for our year-end party is full and Molly Roffey’s at Bras Basah will be closed to the public and everyone else from 6pm to 10pm. If you did not sign up, do consider heading over to Molly Roffey’s at Dorsett Residences if you are planning to grab dinner and catch the earlier match and our match against West Ham at 11pm. Doors will open again at Bras Basah after 10pm in time for kick off.
Before this Sunday, we have Boxing Day and that means Arsenal are in action again! We are at home to QPR at 1.30am (Sat morning over here) and Molly’s at Bras Basah will stay open for you to join us for some Christmas toasts and hopefully a much-needed win!
Have yourself a wonderful Christmas!
