Dear Singapore Gooners,
Lunchtime Edition!
What a cracker of a match it was early this morning! The Arsenal almost had 3 points in the bag but for a dramatic equaliser by Klopp’s team. This topsy-turvy match had more positives than negatives for us though.
There was rain, hail and even snow at Anfield and despite that, our lads showed a tremendous fighting spirit to come from behind. Twice! I was very proud of our First XI today and you really can’t fault them much because they played their hearts out. I can’t say the same about our 3 subs though. Did they do enough to help us hold on to our lead? It’s up for debate.
But hey, we are STILL top of the league. Numero Uno! *all smiles*
Last Saturday, The Arsenal began our road to Wembley and defence of our FA Cup with a convincing victory over Fat Sam’s Black Cats. We haven’t lost in the 3rd round since 1996. More importantly, Arsene Wenger’s team is vying to become the first team in 130 years to win the FA Cup for 3 years in a row. Think about that for a moment. History’s up for grabs, again. Burnley’s next in 2 weeks’ time. Wouldn’t that be another great legacy for Monsieur Wenger and Arsenal FC?
Latest news this morning after Anfield. Our 1st (or only?) January signing was confirmed by Le Prof. Mohamed Elneny has officially joined Arsenal FC and I reckon the press conference announcing this will be held later this evening. Look out for it! Already last week at Molly, I overheard some potential songs of our new Egyptian. Will it catch on? Will you sing loud and proud? Only one way to find out. Head down to Molly for the next match.

Up next this very late Sunday night, the rugby team of Stoke City. Yeah, it may get ugly playing against those bunch of misfits. We can’t be pushovers against them. Hey, it could be worse. We could have played them on a cold wet Tuesday night.

I’ll see you there. Let’s go Arsenal! COYG!!!
