Our member Daniel Hua shares his visit to The Arsenal to watch the team take on Sunderland in February 2026.

To the Arsenal Singapore Team, I want to express my heartfelt thanks for arranging our tickets to the Arsenal vs Sunderland Premier League match. This has been a lifelong dream of mine, and you made it real. We kicked off the day with a pre‑match drink and lunch at Highbury Barn, soaking in the local buzz before heading to the Emirates.

From our seats high up at the Clock End, we had a sweeping view of the pitch and the sea of red and white. Before kick‑off, we even met a lovely elderly couple from Arsenal Supporters Malaysia on their first visit too. Sharing stories and nerves made the occasion feel even more special. Inside the ground, being part of the singing rather than hearing it through a TV was unforgettable—“We love you Arsenal, we do,” “And it’s Arsenal, Arsenal FC,” and “North London Forever” rolled around the stadium all afternoon.

On the pitch, Arsenal delivered: Martin Zubimendi broke the deadlock with a precise first‑half strike off the post to make it 1–0 (42’), sending the Emirates into raptures. In the second half, Viktor Gyökeres took over—first a clean, decisive finish for 2–0 (66’), then a stoppage‑time breakaway to seal it 3–0 (90+3’) and cap a commanding win.

Thank you again, sincerely, for making this possible. From Highbury Barn to the final whistle, from meeting fellow supporters to singing our hearts out, you turned a distant dream into a memory I’ll carry forever.
